Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Modular Electrician to join our team in a fast-paced modular construction/manufacturing environment. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and testing electrical systems in modular buildings prior to delivery and installation on-site. The ideal candidate has strong electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical wiring, conduit, panels, fixtures, and devices in modular units
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Perform rough-in and finish electrical work on modular structures
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, local, and state electrical codes
  • Test electrical systems for proper operation and safety
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues during production
  • Work closely with other trades (plumbing, framing, HVAC) to ensure smooth workflow
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Meet production schedules and quality standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 2+ years of experience as an electrician (modular, residential, or commercial preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work on feet for extended periods
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification
  • Prior experience in modular, manufactured housing, or prefab construction
  • Forklift or lift certification
  • Experience working in a factory or production environment
