General Job Description:

Electrician

1st and 2nd Shift Available

$2,500 New Hire Bonus

2nd Shift (4x10's +15% Differential)

 

Overview

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. This position will be responsible for running conduit, pulling wire, installing electrical components, and interpreting blueprints and schematics to ensure safe, code-compliant installations. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • EMT and rigid conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Assemble, install, test electrical wiring, equipment, apparatus, fixtures, junction boxes, switches, outlets, distribution panels, etc.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
  • Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.
  • Read, interpret, and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, and layout drawings.
Specific Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician Certification (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Experience with PLCs, motor controls, and automation systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and stand for extended periods.
  • Negative result on pre-employment and all active employment drug screens when required.
