HiFyve is hiring an Electrician in the Food & Beverage industry in Norwood, MN!

Salary: $33.75 – $42.16/hour

Shift: 3rd Shift 10pm to 6am Sunday - Thursday

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to maintain or install plant equipment
  • Perform electrical repairs on plant and building systems
  • Conduct preventative electrical maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and replace electrical components and control panel equipment
  • Assist with installation and adjustment of new plant equipment
  • Operate electrical test equipment and various hand, power, and shop tools safely
  • Ensure equipment operates continuously and efficiently
  • Communicate issues to supervisors or leads as needed
  • Participate in ongoing training and education programs
  • Work with PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems
  • Follow National Electric Code (NEC) standards
  • Follow OSHA safety procedures and company safety policies
  • Report all food safety and quality concerns immediately

Technical Competencies:

  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, manuals, and work instructions
  • Ability to write routine maintenance reports and work orders
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Ability to interpret written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
  • Strong communication skills with coworkers and outside vendors
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Safety Requirements:

  • Follow all OSHA, company, and regulatory safety procedures
  • Maintain a strong commitment to employee and food safety

Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems
  • Understanding of NEC electrical standards
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment
