U.S. Facilities Inc. a consolidated facility management service is seeking an Electrician in Philadelphia.

The Electricians responsibility includes the operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of all electrical power and lighting systems, including but not limited to transformers, switches, circuit breakers, motor controllers, panelboards, wiring devices, lighting fixtures, lamps, and grounding.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, maintain, and repair all commercial building electrical, digital, analog, and related systems. The Electrician will have knowledge and experience of building automation systems and be capable of all calibrations required with the system. The Electrician will be required to perform other trades work when necessary. The Electrician will work overtime during scheduled preventive maintenance shutdowns, emergencies, and other workload demands as determined by the need of the business.

DUTIES

• Performs electrical work required for installation and maintenance of equipment, systems, and facilities in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers specifications. • Performs preventive maintenance on and repairs electrical distribution systems, equipment, including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, BAS alarm systems, UPS, and lighting systems. • Electrical installation of Main Building Activation Kits, including telephone, analog & digital IBM token ring duplex branch circuits, and fiber optic connections. • Installs and modifies 110-208-277-480 volt circuits for computer circuits, copiers, specialized equipment, motor, and motor control systems, lighting control systems, low voltage control circuits, and energy-efficient lighting. • Makes standard computations relating to load requirements to determine wiring and electrical equipment. • Performs electrical repairs of starters, switches, receptacles, and wiring. • Performs re-lamping and/or repairs of light fixtures. • Installs and traces wire pull for phone and data drops. • Stays abreast of changes, safety, and code in the field through seminars and other educational means. • Inspects operation, maintains, and repairs control system throughout the complex. • Utilizes client work order tracking system to initiate electrical work for scheduled and unscheduled jobs, develop materials lists for ordering by supervisor, and sign off on work orders. • Responds to emergency situations, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical problems, carrying a shop radio for rapid response. • Assists other staff to troubleshoot equipment problems as required. • Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company and client standards. • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment. • Willingly performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.

May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.

SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess current active State of PA electrical license or Journeyman equivalent in electrical installation and maintenance with a minimum of six years of experience. • 5 years of Field Experience, trade school, or apprenticeship. • Electrical certification to a minimum of 480 Volts. • Will have full knowledge of the National Electrical code, local codes, and building standards, and the ability to interpret such codes. • Must be able to work independently or with supervision and read and work from blueprints and schematic diagrams. • Must be familiar with the safe handling and use of hand tools and power hand tools, as well as the safe use of hand trucks, dollies, and lifts. • Ability to carry an 8-ladder and work from ladders and lifts. • Knowledgeable and compliant with OSHA safety practices for electrical, high-voltage equipment, high and low-pressure vessels, and other motor-driven automatic operation machinery. • Possesses the ability to work with and communicate with all levels of management to secure cooperation for performing maintenance, repairs, and alterations. • Ability to interact productively with outside contractors and vendors. • Valid Drivers License.
