Description: Benefits Description This position is accountable for the repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment throughout the plant and lift stations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Electrical Repair - When issues arise, the incumbent will receive a work order and is responsible for following up immediately to assess the problem and determine the best solution. Repairs may be to the industrial pumps, other pumps, drives, motors, dryers, or to the office buildings. The incumbent must also be able to assist in running emergency back-up power generator when necessary. Since high voltage is used throughout the facility, extreme caution must be taken when working with any and all equipment.

• Preventive Maintenance - This position follows a preventive maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment. This includes monitoring excessive heat in electrical motor control centers for hot spots and blowers out and vacuuming the same, as well as cleaning and replacing filters monthly. Verifying that high voltage loop switches and other equipment are free of grass, ants, snakes and dirt/debris. High calorie flash suits are worn in case of arc flash when working and inspecting these high voltage switches.

• Equipment Replacement - This position assists the Chief electrician in repair and scheduled maintenance of the plants and lifts stations electrical requirements. This includes proper reading and understanding of blueprints, electrical ladder diagrams and O&M manuals. This position works with limited supervision. The major challenges include the hazards of the job - weather, high voltage, and age of the equipment.

Typical Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum Level of Job-Related Education: licensed electrician • Minimum Amount of Job-Related Experience: reflect at least 5 years as a journeyman electrician in the industrial field of work. • Must obtain a class C collection license within two years of employment.

MINIMUM LEVEL OF ANY REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENCES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS, OR ANY RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE, JOB SKILL OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:

• Class C wastewater collection license
