Position Title: Electrician - Residential
Report To: Residential Manager
Primary Objective of Position:
Experienced electrician working under the guidance of the residential manager will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential properties. The Residential electrician will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and devices while adhering to all codes and regulations.
Essential Functions:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, outlets, and service equipment in residential buildings.
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards to maintain the safety and functionality of electrical systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical problems, such as short circuits, faulty wiring, or malfunctioning electrical equipment.
Assist in the electrical installation process for new residential construction projects, including wiring, panel installation, and circuitry setup.
Upgrade and improve existing electrical systems by replacing or adding new components for enhanced energy efficiency and functionality.
Interact with homeowners, providing clear explanations of work to be performed, and addressing any concerns or questions.
Safely operate and maintain various electrical tools, power tools, equipment, and testing devices to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
Resourceful, with good problem-solving skills.
Ability to successfully complete a 90-day probationary period and on the job testing.
Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Three years related experience and/or training.
Valid drivers license with good driving history.
Well mannered, clean and professional appearance and attitude.
Required Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong mechanical aptitude
