What We Are Looking For
The position works closely with Operations Managers, Maintenance, and the IT Department to support daily facility needs, including Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC work), workstation setups, and infrastructure improvements. Responsibilities
include installing and maintaining electrical systems (120V-277V), supporting power distribution, assisting with data cabling (Cat6), and ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting SAC Health's growth by reducing reliance on external vendors, improving response times for maintenance needs, and ensuring efficient setup and operation of facility infrastructure across all locations.
Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm 1 hr lunch |Location: Bruer Clinic, San Bernardino, CA
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES
- Partner with Operations Managers, Maintenance and IT Project Managers across multiple facilities to support electrical scope for projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements.
- Install or repair of equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors heating and conduit systems.
- View and maintain all building systems, CORE Lighting, SKY Spark and Brier HVAC systems.
- Meet with Operations Director regularly about findings, issues and recommended solutions, ensuring work is properly documented and shared with all departments.
- Serves as the liaison between Colliers, Operations, and IT on all expansion projects across SAC facilities.
- Help Operations Manager's with external vendors for larger or specialized work, including obtaining proposals for review.
- Support IT infrastructure from an electrical and facilities standpoint, including power distribution, equipment installs, and coordination with IT for server rooms, IDF/MDF spaces, and network equipment
- Data & Low-Voltage Infrastructure Support: Install, route, and support data cabling (Cat6), network drops, and low-voltage systems for workstations and clinical spaces. Coordinate with IT to ensure proper placement and functionality of data connections.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues across 120V, 208V, and 277V systems.
- Troubleshoot breaker trips, power loss, and intermittent electrical problems
- Work on panels, transformers, and distribution systems.
- Trace circuits and verify loads safely without disrupting operations.
- Connect and troubleshoot modular furniture (cubicle) electrical systems, including power whips and circuit integration.
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify failure risk

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred: Technical training or certification in electrical systems or related field
- Licensure/Certification: Valid California driver's license, and auto insurance,C-10 License in California or California Certified Electrician required. Preferred: C-7 Low voltage.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in commercial electrical/ data work or facilities maintenance required
- Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards, combined with good manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, physical stamina, and the ability to work accurately in confined or elevated spaces.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to interact professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and clients.
- Essential Mental Abilities: Strong mental abilities, including problem‑solving, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to concentrate, follow instructions, and respond effectively to changing work conditions.
- Work Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Must not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visas.
