Lumber, Inc. currently employs over 175 employees.The primary role of the Electrician position is to troubleshoot and repair problems on plant facilities and production equipment with a continued focus on safety, and productivity. Desired candidate will be able to read and understand wiring schematics and blueprints and assist in preventative maintenance of all equipment. This individual needs to be a self-directed leader that works well in a team environment.JOB DESCRIPTION:Read and understand wiring schematics and blueprintsAssist in preventative maintenance of all equipmentExperienced with Allen Bradley PLC and Logix 5000Understand motor theoryFamiliar with 4-20 ma instrumentation, servo systems, positioning systems and assorted feedback devicesUnderstand standard control circuit wiring and troubleshootingKnow, Understand, and Apply the Lock-out Tag-out proceduresEntry level laborer sawmill duties, including but not limited to, stacking boards, general cleanup, removal of wood waste and debris, and tending machinesMaintain a clean and safe work area.Ensure tools, supplies, and equipment are in their "home locations" at all timesMaintain lines of communication with other team membersLearning and applying lean business practicesFill out a maintenance request and Idea Cards when neededOther duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:Work well under pressure, self-directed leader, and troubleshooting skillsPreferred: Electrical Certification or DegreeEnsure safe work practices & follow safety proceduresDependable and reliable with a good attendance record Ability to streamline processes and cut waste within area of responsibilityLean techniques and experience preferred Must be 18+ years old to work in an industrial sawmill environmentMust have HS Diploma/GEDMust be able to continuously stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders safely.
