What You'll Do
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or GED
One of the following:
Completion of an approved Post Secondary Electrical Program (PSEP) resulting in an Associate of Applied Science degree or qualifying electrical diploma
Alternatively, successful completion of a U.S. Department of Labor registered electrical apprenticeship program and current eligibility to sit for the Journeyman Electrician licensing exam
For candidates entering through the Post Secondary Electrical Program pathway, ability to complete the required 6,000 documented on-the-job training hours within the applicable four-year eligibility period established by the Iowa Electrical Examining Board
Ability to meet applicable State of Iowa requirements for Journeyman Electrician licensure
Experience in construction, maintenance, or skilled trades is preferred, particularly within utility, power generation, industrial, or similar environments
Working knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, troubleshooting methods, and industry-standard tools used in the electrical trade
Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, utility standards, safety programs, and safe work practices
Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, and repair manuals
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze system issues, maintain accurate documentation, and support effective solutions
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, vendors, contractors, and customers
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and follow oral and written instructions

What We Offer
Compensation
Hourly Range: $24.38 - $40.58 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
