Electrician Position

Panhandle Power Solutions LLC is an Alaska Native-owned company who services governmental and commercial clients with electrical, energy, general construction, and building envelope solutions. Our services include complete underground / overhead utility services; large scale lighting retrofits; emergency power / load shed systems; solar/PV systems; insulated concrete forms; masonry; flatwork-foundations/SOG. Panhandle Power Solutions is expanding its construction management staff and requires the addition of an experienced Electrician. This position is project specific and employment beyond the completion of said project will be determined upon performance throughout and future projects. This position may require traveling to different states to complete certain projects.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Plan and perform layout
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
• Good knowledge of various test equipment.

Requirements:

• The candidate must be familiar with Medium/High Voltage
• An advanced degree is not required. The candidate should have advanced experience working as an electrician.
• The candidate must be capable of passing a DoD security background check and receiving a contractor base pass as required to work on federal property.
• Ability to conduct work outside of Electrician scope (job dependent).

Hourly Rate: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
