Compensation: $31/hr - plus shift differential $2

Overview:

Sterling Engineering is seeking an experienced Industrial In-House Electrician to support electrical maintenance and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing electrical systems and equipment to help keep production running safely and efficiently.

Job Duties: 

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment.

• Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance on production machinery.

• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, controls, motors, sensors, and related components.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Perform electrical installations, modifications, and equipment upgrades as needed.

• Utilize electrical test equipment to diagnose and resolve issues.

• Respond to production equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.

• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all applicable electrical safety requirements.

• Work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.

• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and electrical systems.

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience as an industrial electrician/electrician.

• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Experience with motors, controls, sensors, and industrial equipment.

• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and LOTO procedures.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work a consistent 2nd-shift schedule.

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent technical experience preferred.

• Industrial electrical certification or formal electrical training is a plus.
