Job Description
We are seeking a motivated, entry-level Electro-Hydraulic Technician Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate of a technical school, trade program, or community college who is looking to launch a career in electro-hydraulics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. Candidates with backgrounds in Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation/Controls, Robotics, Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Hydraulics/Fluid Power, Diesel/Heavy Equipment, HVAC, or Manufacturing Technology are encouraged to apply.
This is a true entry-level, temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential and opportunities for growth within the company. The first 90 days will include structured training on 1st shift, after which candidates must be flexible to work either 1st or 2nd shift based on business needs.
Pay Rate: $19.00–$21.00/hour, based on experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, assembly, and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, procedures, and work instructions.
- Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for testing and assembly.
- Use diagnostic tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment to troubleshoot system issues.
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Extended Factory Acceptance Tests (EFAT), and System Integration Tests (SIT).
- Perform equipment refurbishment, functional testing, and inspections.
- Maintain accurate quality, inspection, and testing documentation.
- Learn to identify hydraulic hoses, fittings, and system components.
- Assist with equipment preparation and shipping.
- Safely move materials and learn to operate shop equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment.
- Work alongside experienced technicians and engineers to develop hands-on technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Recent graduate of a technical school, trade school, vocational program, military technical program, or 2-year community college program preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in developing a career in electro-hydraulics.
- Technical education in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Automation/Controls, Robotics, Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, Hydraulics/Fluid Power, HVAC, Diesel/Heavy Equipment, or a related field is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical projects, automotive repair, construction, HVAC, woodworking, or similar activities is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of electrical fundamentals, including voltage, current, resistance, Ohm's Law, and series/parallel circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical, electronic, or hydraulic schematics.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, IP addresses, LAN/WAN, DHCP, and network devices is a plus.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using tablets/iPads and other mobile technology.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, particularly during the initial 90-day training period.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift following completion of training.
