The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join a leading electronic systems manufacturer in Austin, TX. This is a great opportunity to work on advanced technology in a hands-on production environment with strong potential for long-term growth.

This role is 100% onsite and ideal for candidates who enjoy working with small components, electronics, and precision assembly.
What You’ll Do
  • Assemble electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, and modules
  • Work from blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and process sheets
  • Perform wire termination, cable/harness assembly, and soldering
  • Use hand tools, microscopes, and precision equipment
  • Inspect assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC and quality standards
  • Support both production and prototype builds
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
What We’re Looking For
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School
  • 4+ years of electronic assembly experience
  • Experience with:
    • Small parts assembly
    • Wiring, cabling, and soldering
    • Reading technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Comfortable working with microscopes and fine components
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Soldering experience to IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 standards
  • Experience with:
    • Through-hole and surface mount soldering
    • Crimping tools and cable assemblies
    • Conformal coating, potting, or encapsulation
  • Knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc.)
  • Previous experience in electromechanical assembly environments
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to obtain ESD, Material Handling, and Solder Certifications
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Background check and drug screen required
Pay up to $23.54 per hour DOE
