Job Title: Electro-mechanical Assembler

Pay rate: $18.00 - $18.25/hr
Work schedule: Full-Time | Hours 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday
Overtime Requirements: Willingness to work overtime as required by production schedules.
The Electro-mechanical Assembler is responsible for the complex and diversified assembly of a variety of industrial products using mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. This role requires intricate fitting, adjusting, and aligning of a considerable number of parts involving close tolerances and interrelated factors. Operating within an ISO-certified environment, the assembler utilizes hand tools, power tools, and production machinery to complete final products, units, or sub-assemblies according to schedules managed in SAP.
Key Responsibilities
Complex Equipment Assembly: Assemble and wire complex equipment, units, or sub-assemblies by following engineering blueprints, models, model prints, and work cell procedures.
Precision Fitting: Perform skilled adjusting, fitting, and aligning of parts within close mechanical tolerances and complex interrelated factors.
Harness & PCB Assembly: Build custom wire harness assemblies. May perform precision thru-hole Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly as required.
Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain basic production machines, including component engravers, presses, crimpers, riveting systems, and encapsulation machines.
Tool & Hardware Usage: Safely utilize a variety of manual hand tools and power tools required to complete structural assembly tasks.
Digital System Logging: Use computers to monitor and report job status and component availability. Open technical prints or digital work instructions from the system, and enter production data into Excel or SAP databases.
Cross-Functional Flexibility: Maintain operational flexibility to perform diverse production operations on products both within and outside of the home department.
Quality & Safety Standards: Strive to meet prescribed quality standards in an ISO environment. Maintain a safe, hazard-free, and efficient work area by following 5S steps and properly utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Must Have Skills / Requirements
Blueprint & Schematic Literacy: Proven ability to accurately read and interpret technical blueprints, mechanical drawings, product structures, and electrical schematics.
Component Identification: Ability to read, identify, and select proper physical components and recognize complex color-coding schemes.
Workmanship Standards: Must consistently present excellent workmanship standards, manual dexterity, and a high attention to detail.
Communication: Good verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Education & Experience
Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of professional electro-mechanical assembly experience. Candidates with strong mechanical assembly experience combined with electronic/electrical safety knowledge are also acceptable.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
