Summary:
Electro-Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis.
Assembles Electro-Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures.
Uses precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
Performs visual inspection of Electro-Mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures.
Ensures product quality and conformance to specifications.
Documents non-conformances and associated rework and repair.
Performs soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components.
Supports conformal coat, masking, epoxy application, and coating processes.
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual or automated assembly tools.
Performs assembly of space flight sub-systems and support equipment.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
High School Diploma or GED.
3+ years of experience reading blueprints, working with manufacturing plans, and reviewing instructions for aerospace manufacturing processes.
3+ years of experience in electronics, electro-mechanical, and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies.
3+ years of experience with soldering and reworking through-hole and SMT components.
3+ years of experience working with ESD, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC-A-610 standards.
Ability to use precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
Ability to perform visual inspection of assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and procedures.
Capable of lifting 20lbs or more and ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
Experience working in a clean room environment and in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
