Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 12 months
• Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM; daily overtime is common (approximately 1 hour per day); must be willing to work 10 hours of overtime per week as needed; Saturday shift at least once per month

Job Summary

This role is responsible for building, testing, and inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies per specification, and may involve system-level assembly and sub-assembly test. The role is heavily focused on testing and calibration activities (approximately 80%), with limited troubleshooting/repair (10%) and documentation (10%).

Key Responsibilities

• Assembles sub-assemblies and system-level hardware
• Performs in-process sub-assembly testing of product being manufactured, when required
• Completes Device History Record data
• Performs assembly and test requirements for reconditioned hardware, when required
• Performs packaging functions in Instruments Manufacturing, when required
• Maintains compliance with company policies QSR, ISO, EH and S
• Supports the day-to-day operations of manufacturing and service support to forecast, and regulatory compliance and company policies QSR, ISO, EH and S
• Provides training as needed
• Participates in the reduction of risk and injury in the workplace by identifying risks and implementing controls to eliminate or minimize risk
• Supports internal departmental audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company policies QSR, ISO, EH and S
• Performs other duties as required

Required Skills

• Proficiency with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque tools, terminal crimpers, and soldering irons
• Ability to follow written instructions such as assembly procedures, test procedures, and mechanical assembly drawings
• Experience with basic mechanical inspection equipment such as calipers and indicators
• Experience with basic electrical test equipment such as multimeters
• Strong documentation practices and attention to quality due to the regulated environment
• Reliability and consistent attendance
• Flexibility to support overtime and weekend production needs
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
• Teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Background from Electronics Manufacturing or Industrial Equipment Manufacturing environments
• Experience working in a GMP/FDA-regulated manufacturing environment
• Testing/calibration experience
• Proven attendance and punctuality record
• Availability for overtime and Saturday work

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience and/or training

Required Experience

• Experience with basic mechanical inspection equipment such as calipers and indicators
• Experience with basic electrical test equipment such as multimeters

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Experience in Electronics Manufacturing or Industrial Equipment Manufacturing environments
• Experience in a GMP/FDA-regulated manufacturing environment

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Role requires physical presence on the manufacturing floor
• Daily overtime is common (approximately 1 hour per day)
• Must be willing to work up to 10 hours of overtime per week as needed
• Saturday shift required at least once per month
• Schedule flexibility and a strong attendance record are prioritized by the hiring manager
