Seeking a full-time Electro-Mechanical Assembler in San Diego, CA, onsite with minimal travel (~10%).
Responsibilities include cabling, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting products combining electrical and mechanical components such as control panels and power systems.
- Assemble and fasten units using hand/power tools, following technical drawings and schematics.
- Wire, route, strip, crimp, and solder cables and harnesses.
- Perform inspections, quality checks, and documentation of processes and test results.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical issues; rework as needed.
- Operate equipment like crimp presses and conduct functional tests.
- Collaborate with team, provide feedback, and train others.
- Maintain safety standards and inventory management.
Required skills include mechanical aptitude, proficiency with tools and measuring instruments, ability to interpret technical documents, and IPC certifications. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years experience, U.S. citizenship, and can obtain a DoD clearance. Physical ability to stand, lift up to 30 lbs, and handle small parts is essential. Pay ranges from $23-$28/hr based on experience and qualifications.
