Electro-Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembler to support the production and assembly of our computer vision–based defect detection kits used for identifying defects in wooden pallets on industrial lines. The ideal candidate will assemble, wire, andintegrate electronic and mechanical components — including cameras, lighting, sensors, and control units — into robust, field-ready enclosures.

This role requires hands-on expertise in electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and basic testing of embedded vision systems in a production or R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro-mechanical sub-systems for computer vision inspection kits, including camera modules, lighting, power supplies, and industrial PCs.
  • Perform electrical wiring, crimping, soldering, and cable harness routing according to schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Mount cameras, sensors, and lighting fixtures on brackets or custom mechanical structures with precision alignment.
  • Integrate enclosures, cooling systems, and protective housings suitable for industrial use.
  • Conduct basic functional testing — verifying camera connectivity, lighting performance, and power safety checks.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to identify and resolve mechanical fit, wiring, or component compatibility issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly steps, materials used, and quality checks.
  • Follow ESD, safety, and cleanroom procedures where applicable.
  • Support continuous improvement of the assembly process and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical training).
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly or integration, preferably in automation, robotics, or vision systems.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with industrial connectors, cable routing, and panel wiring standards (24VDC, 230VAC).
  • Experience with industrial cameras (GigE, USB, or IP), LED lighting systems, or sensors is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, power supplies, and network connections (Ethernet/PoE).
  • Skilled in using hand tools, torque drivers, crimping tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on build quality and reliability.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience assembling machine vision or automation control panels.
  • Exposure to PLC or embedded control wiring.
  • Ability to perform bench testing and calibration of assembled units.
  • Knowledge of IP-rated enclosures and industrial installation standards.
