Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler & Welder
Department: RWS Assembly
Position Summary: The Electro-Mechanical Assembler & Welder is responsible for providing technical support to Engineers, other Technicians, and production team members in optimizing production processes within the RWS business unit. This position will perform high-quality welding operations, interpret technical drawings and specifications, and ensure welded assemblies meet quality, safety and performance standards. The Electro-Mechanical Assembler & Welder will be detail oriented and apply the ability to create work instructions, adjust tooling, diagnose issues, and optimize assembly lines for new processes or products. They will communicate with cross functional groups and have a general understanding of Quality Assurance procedures, manufacturing principles, and some knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts. Working independently and in a team environment, the Electro-Mechanical Assembler & Welder will collaborate with employees across all departments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assemble electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Tig weld in a precision environment.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations by wearing the proper PPE such as heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Conduct time studies, process evaluations, and capacity studies on production processes.
• Perform electrical wiring, cable routing, soldering, crimping, and connector assembly.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
• Conduct functional testing, calibration, and verification of completed
assemblies. • Identify defects, document findings, and perform repairs or rework as required.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
• Support prototype builds and engineering development projects.
• Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and applicable industry requirements.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and test records.
• Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all company safety procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality personnel to improve manufacturing processes and product reliability.
• Perform basic maintenance on machinery and specialized assembly tooling.
• Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
• Participate in 5S Workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
• May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts, or in other functional areas, and/or facilities based on business needs.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience & Skills:
• High School diploma or equivalent required, related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and 2-5 years of assembly experience. Electromechanical assembly is preferred.
• 2-5 years of tig welding experience is required.
• Experience with electromechanical systems such as mechanical assemblies, PCBAs, wiring, and embedded hardware.
• Hands-on experience with electrical debugging tools including multimeter, oscilloscope and hardware bring-up
• Experience with cable harness fabrication, printed circuit boards and soldering.
• Experience with machining processes, 3D printing or additive manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with CAD programs such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or relevant. Ability to learn new computer programs such as Excel, VISO, SolidWorks, and Oracle.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to read and edit blueprints as needed for manufacturability

• Open to specific training and certification and/or continued education, and to performing cross training for other job responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Proficient in writing and math, and ability to follow verbal and written direction.

• Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
Working Conditions:
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
• Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
• Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.
• The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
• Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts.
• Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to focus on fine print.
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
• Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
