Electro-Mechanical Assembly and QA Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm

Compensation: $23 per hour

A day in the life

You start your shift reviewing engineering drawings, schematics, and SOPs. With tools in hand, you assemble mechanical components and subassemblies, verify fits, apply correct torque, and route wiring. Mid-morning, you move to the bench for voltage testing, validating that each unit meets specs and documenting results. When measurements drift, you troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical causes, collaborating with production, quality, and engineering to resolve issues. Throughout the day, you keep your station organized, follow safety protocols, and record inspections to ensure every product ships right the first time.

What you will do

• Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and systems per drawings and work instructions
• Execute voltage testing and perform quality inspections on completed builds
• Confirm compliance to specifications, tolerances, and quality standards
• Use hand, power, and torque tools along with precision measurement instruments
• Capture and maintain accurate test data and inspection records
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during assembly and test
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Partner closely with engineering, production, and QA/QC teams

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing
• Background in QA/QC inspection or product testing
• Exposure to high-voltage or electrical testing (preferred, not required)
• Ability to interpret assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and SOPs
• Proficiency with hand and power tools; careful with torque and measurement
• Sharp attention to detail, quality, and safety
• Comfort working on your feet, lifting, and moving within a production setting

Preferred

• Electronics, electrical assembly, or power systems experience
• IPC or comparable industry certifications
• Basic computer and data entry skills
