A Day in the Life

You start your shift on the production floor, reviewing technical data before prepping and cleaning parts. Under the guidance of the Shop Manager and Lead, you assemble precision electro-mechanical products—actuators, motors, and dampers—then bring them to life through rigorous testing. Along the way, you fabricate wiring harnesses, install and repair connectors, and verify that switches, relays, solenoids, and motors perform exactly as intended.

When schematics land on your bench, you interpret them with ease. Technical manuals help you overhaul components and execute test procedures step-by-step. If a defect emerges, you promptly alert your Lead or Manager so the team can address it without delay. Your documentation is neat and legible, your focus on safety is constant, and your attention to detail shows in every torque, crimp, and continuity check.

What You’ll Do

• Clean, prepare, and assemble parts per technical data and shop procedures.
• Assemble and test finished products, including actuators, motors, and dampers.
• Fabricate and repair wiring harnesses; install and service electrical connectors.
• Test electrical components such as switches, motors, relays, and solenoids.
• Read and apply electrical schematics and technical manuals for overhaul and testing.
• Report any discovered defects in production or overhaul to the Lead or Manager.
• Work with chemicals as part of routine processes; follow all PPE and safety requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor to support production goals.

What You Bring

• Strong manual dexterity and good eyesight; ability to distinguish wire and component colors.
• Comfort using hand and power tools and following verbal/written instructions and specifications.
• Clear, legible handwriting for documentation and records.
• Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
• Physical capability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and twist; lift up to 40 lbs. or more with or without assistive devices.
• Use of all required PPE, including safety footwear.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience (military or civilian).
• Proficiency with AS9100 practices.
