Electro-Mechanical Assembly/Tech

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced individual skilled in mechanical, electrical, wire, and harness assembly. This role involves the assembly of laser systems and associated tooling. Occasionally, non-routine tasks such as kitting or facility maintenance may be required. The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, opto-mechanical, and electrical assembly work with minimal supervision.
• Assist the Engineering team in assembling systems for prototypes or unique assemblies.
• Assemble complete systems from the ground up, including frames, enclosures, electrical cabinets, opto-mechanics, and robotics.
• Handle system preparation, crating, and shipping/receiving of products.
• Occasionally assist with material management.
• Generate Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
• Maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to improvise.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Mechanical Assembly role, preferably in a technical environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, both mechanical and electrical.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in both mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel and MS Word.
• Dependable individual with strong work ethics, high motivation, and a team player attitude.
