Electro‑Mechanical Maintenance Section Lead

If so, you may be the Electro‑Mechanical Maintenance Section Lead we’re looking for—someone who keeps equipment safe, reliable, and cost-effective while guiding a skilled team.

Focus Areas

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Preventive maintenance on production machinery, air compressors, chillers, and related electrical systems. Diagnose issues through observation, listening, and tests; resolve quickly.
• Projects & Installs: Evaluate and approve engineering designs and budgets; oversee new equipment installations; deliver special improvement projects.
• Quality & Safety: Apply quality standards; verify production output meets specifications; correct quality issues promptly; enforce PPE, LOTO, and ISO/OSHA procedures.
• People Leadership: Manage the maintenance section; train and develop engineers and technicians; review work orders, PM records, and forms; approve evaluations.
• Inventory & Scheduling: Control spare parts purchasing and storage; coordinate with production and scheduling to time maintenance and repairs.
• Performance & Reporting: Analyze downtime and monthly metrics to evaluate and improve section performance.

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Technical: Troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; blueprint and schematic reading; pipe fitting/fabrication and welding; working knowledge of electronic systems; machining, millwright, and welding; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Work Habits: Dependable attendance; available for non-standard hours, nights, and weekends.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and stress management.

• PPE (safety shoes, glasses, ear plugs)
• Forklift, pallet jack, hand tools (pliers, wrenches)
• Computers, rulers, knives, measuring tools

Physical Requirements

Comfort with ladder/scaffolding work; frequent climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crawling, and reaching; extended standing and walking.
