Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician — CNC & 3‑Phase Systems

• Pay: $25.00/hour
• Hours: 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• Location: West Jefferson, OH 43162

A day in the life

You’ll start your morning walk-through checking air compressors and ensuring fire protection equipment (PIVs and extinguishers) are ready. A machine throws a fault—your grounding in 3‑phase motor control and transformers guides quick diagnostics. After a CNC cell flags an I/O error, you trace it through electrical controls, restoring uptime. Later, you fabricate a bracket from a drawing—cutting with oxy/acetylene or plasma and welding with ARC/stick—before helping rig and place a machine with a forklift. In between, you’ll tackle facility needs like plumbing fixes, light carpentry/painting, grounds upkeep, and safe work at elevated heights.

What you’ll handle

• General manufacturing maintenance: motor control troubleshooting, transformer work, mechanical repairs, and CNC control diagnostics (experience with CNC electrical controls is a plus).
• Facility maintenance: plumbing, basic carpentry/painting, maintaining fire systems (PIVs, extinguishers), managing air compressors, buildings/grounds/equipment care, and safe operation at heights.
• Material handling & rigging: operate and maintain forklifts; rig and position machinery.
• Fabrication: diagnose mechanical issues, interpret drawings/sketches/plans, operate toolroom equipment, and weld steel (ARC/stick); cutting with oxy/acetylene and plasma.
• Hydraulics & pneumatics: repair, install, and rebuild components, valves, and pumps.

What you bring

• Ability to read, write, and understand equipment manuals; bring your own tools.
• Strong knowledge of 3‑phase electric motors and machine controls.
• Mechanical troubleshooting aptitude; HVAC troubleshooting familiarity.
• Confident with tape measure reading and precision layout.
• Skilled in maintenance/repair best practices and machine safety inspections.
• Comfort with medium to heavy lifting.
