We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our client’s growing team located in Greenville, SC. If you enjoy solving complex electrical and mechanical challenges, working with industrial equipment, and traveling to support customers, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including:
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • Generators
    • Motors
    • Electrical controls
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, including:
    • Gearboxes and gearcases
    • Air systems
    • Diesel engines
  • Assist with the assembly of new locomotives in the shop.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues both in the shop and at customer locations.
  • Provide technical support to customers over the phone and during onsite service visits.
  • Work safely and efficiently using industry-standard tools, equipment, and materials while maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • 3–4 years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience with:
    • Low-voltage AC and DC circuits
    • 480 VAC three-phase electrical systems
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • PLCs and relay logic
    • Pneumatics
    • Motors and generators
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel periodically throughout the United States and Canada.
  • Passport or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to pass customer-required background checks and periodic drug screenings for facility access.
  • Associate degree in Electrical & Mechanical Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
  • 2+ years of industrial manufacturing experience and previous diesel mechanic experience.
  • Familiarity with locomotive systems, including diesel engines and gearboxes.
  • This position requires periodic travel to customer facilities throughout the United States and Canada to support locomotive service and repairs. Travel schedules will vary based on customer needs.
This is a direct hire role and the pay is based on experience.#IND1
