We have an exciting new opportunity for an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a client in Norfolk Virginia! 
 
Qualifications:
  • Must have Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC motors, sensors, PLCs)
  • Must have strong knowledge of mechanical components (bearings, belts, pulleys, gearboxes)
  • Experience with rotary contact screw air compressors preferred
  • Proficiency using diagnostic tools, multimeters, hand tools, and power tools
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond quickly to equipment failures
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
 
Job Duties entail but are not limited to: 
  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment, including motors, drives, sensors, PLC-controlled systems, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of air compressors, heat presses, and associated pneumatic components.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Build and maintain tooling as required.

Facilities & Systems Support:
  • Perform routine facilities maintenance, including cleanrooms and HEPA filtration systems, to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance standards.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to support equipment reliability.
 
Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
 
Pay:
  • $50,000-$65,000 per year based on experience
