Electro-Mechanical Technician (2nd Shift)
Location: Forest City, North Carolina (On-site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift (hours may vary based on business needs)
Pay: $15.00 /HR
Position Overview
Personnel Services Unlimited is seeking a 2nd Shift Electro-Mechanical Technician to support a manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Install and maintain components such as motors, circuits, switches, and machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
- Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and parts inventory
- Test equipment to ensure proper operation
- Assist with the installation and calibration of new equipment
- Identify and address safety hazards
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex issues
- Train new technicians and operators
- Stay current with industry trends and new technologies
Qualifications
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including:
- 480V 3-phase
- 240V 3-phase
- 110V single-phase
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance software
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing
- TIG or STIG welding experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work 2nd shift hours and occasional overtime, including weekends
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying environments, including cold conditions
- Use of personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection
- Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment
