Do you enjoy cracking tough diagnostics and restoring equipment to like-new performance? Join us as an electro-mechanical expert caring for mission-critical cleaning, restoration, and surface-prep systems. Compensation is $19.00–$21.00 per hour with a monthly bonus.
Imagine this scenario
A customer drops off a truck-mounted unit that’s underperforming. You open our scheduling software, create the service order, and walk the customer through next steps. Using meters, troubleshooting guides, and the manufacturer manual, you isolate a fuel delivery issue, order parts, and coordinate with vendors. Before closing, you prepare a clear estimate, update the customer by phone, and help a teammate balance tomorrow’s workload.
Your mission
- Diagnose and repair all major systems on: truck-mounted carpet cleaning units, portable carpet extractors, hard-surface floor machines, duct cleaning and deodorizing gear, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, air movers, and HEPA vacuums.
- Service 2–4 cylinder gas engines and apply practical automotive experience.
- Evaluate equipment thoroughly and communicate additional service recommendations.
- Hit and exceed quality and productivity goals without compromising safety.
- Keep the shop safe and organized; correctly use and maintain tools and equipment.
Customer and team impact
- Create service orders, bids, and professional estimates.
- Schedule and manage appointments; communicate in person, by phone, and via email.
- Order parts, coordinate with vendors, and align with store staff to keep work flowing.
- Follow supervisor direction; assist other technicians and help coordinate the shop workload.
What it takes
- Prefer 2+ years in commercial cleaning/restoration equipment, small engine, pressure washer, or vehicle repair/maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record: no DUIs or careless/reckless driving in the last 3 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bring your basic mechanic’s tool set.
- High technical skill, mechanical aptitude, accurate diagnostics, and sharp problem-solving.
- Safety mindset: always use safety glasses, hearing protection, and required PPE.
- Focus and efficiency to deliver quality work on time; able to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
- Professional presence with strong written and verbal communication and basic computer skills.
- Occasional overtime as needed.
- English/Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
