  • Develop automated test systems and tools using MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, or similar platforms
  • Perform hands-on integration, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of optical and electronic subsystems
  • Prototype and evaluate hardware components to support system development and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine system requirements and support prototype-to-deployment efforts

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience developing high-speed optical transceivers and automated test systems
  • 8+ years of experience working with electro-optical test instrumentation and laboratory environments

  • Experience with laser characterization equipment and optical measurement techniques
  • Strong understanding of optical principles, including polarization and fiber-based systems
  • 5+ years of experience with scientific programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C++, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced electro-optical systems or next-generation photonic technologies
  • Familiarity with emerging quantum-enabled devices or systems
  • Experience developing hardware in research environments and transitioning to production
  • Ability to implement and operate communication testbeds based on high-level system requirements
  • Experience specifying optical components and subsystems for R&D environments
