PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electro-Optical Test Engineer in Orlando, FL for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Electro-Optical Test Engineer will support sensor development for electrical, optical, InfraRed, and electro-optical designs for space applications. This role includes planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining integration and test solutions for in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems, and systems. The position requires strong electro-optical test experience, requirements verification and validation experience, and the ability to develop advanced test plans, procedures, schedules, and reports.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience.

5+ years of experience with electro-optical, optical, or InfraRed design and development.

6+ years of experience with design, integration, test, and verification/validation of electro-optical designs.

6+ years of experience with physics.

6+ years of experience developing and executing test plans.

6+ years of electronic testing experience.

Ability to develop advanced test plans, test procedures, test execution schedules, and test reports.

Ability to support customer and key stakeholder reviews.

Experience translating customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions.

Ability to work within technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Preferred Skills

6+ years of environmental stress screening experience.

6+ years of electrical testing experience.

What You’ll Do

Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for integration and testing.

Support testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and systems.

Establish functional and technical specifications and standards.

Solve hardware and software interface problems.

Define input and output parameters for system and subsystem integration.

Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability.

Develop and support comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules.

Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with programs and other organizations.

Analyze test results and prepare evaluation reports to verify and validate system performance.

Write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing to verify incorporated fixes.

Pay

$71.59 per hour
