We are looking for a Development Manager to lead the development of advanced Electro-Optical assemblies at our Rehovot site, specializing in high-power laser systems.
The position involves managing the design and development of cutting-edge multi-disciplinary Electro-Optical systems, with a focus on military-grade laser technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, synchronization, and coordination of development activities across engineering disciplines and stakeholders (e.g., program managers, customers, subcontractors, support and production teams)
- Make critical development decisions and approve key milestones
- Ensure compliance with project management requirements (schedule, scope, quality, budget, customer satisfaction)
- Oversee technical system requirements and lead formal technical events (IPTs, design reviews, integration, testing, trials)
- Prioritize engineering activities and evaluate alternatives across disciplines
- Develop prototypes and conduct complex experiments to support risk reduction and capability validation
- Allocate appropriate development resources and ensure delivery of system commitments
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Engineering
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering - advantage
- Proven leadership and team management skills with excellent interpersonal abilities
- Strong system-level understanding and multidisciplinary engineering knowledge
- Fast learner with the ability to integrate into new technological domains
- Experience in workplan creation, risk management, and budget control
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading development processes in complex multi-disciplinary system programs
- Experience in military Electro-Optical system development
- High commitment and willingness to work intensively over extended periods
