Join our team at the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant and play a crucial role in maintaining the electrical controls and equipment essential for providing potable water to our community. This is a temporary full-time position with a potential three-year term, offering you the chance to contribute to the city's vital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical, electronic, and instrumentation equipment at water and wastewater facilities.
• Install, troubleshoot, and calibrate equipment related to the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
• Service and monitor flowmeters, pump station alarms, and security systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in off-duty emergency call-ins to address electrical system malfunctions.

Requirements

• High school or trade school graduate, or possess an acceptable G.E.D. certificate.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience with instrumentation and controls.
• Ability to exert medium physical demands, including lifting up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Preferences

• Completion of trade courses in industrial electricity, electronics, or instrumentation.
• Electrician Journeyman License or Certification in Electronics.
