Lauderdale, Florida. In this role you will maintain electrical controls and associated equipment at water plants and tanks, including installation, inspections, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, calibrating, programming, modifying, upgrading, and testing of electrical, electronic, and instrumentation equipment and software related to SCADA systems. You will service the SCADA system, monitors, flowmeters, pump‑station alarms (dialers), and security systems (CCTV) in secured locations.Schedule Monday - Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Participation in an on‑call rotation with another electrician on site as needed. Must be available for emergency call‑outs.Responsibilities Work around medium voltage, rotating equipment, and hazardous chemicals.Install, maintain, repair, and test industrial electrical wiring systems, fixtures, motors, generators, transformers, and other industrial electrical and/or electronic equipment.Maintain switches, switch components, and transformers.Test equipment for electrical trouble; repair industrial electrical equipment and related components.Repair and replace industrial electrical and/or electronic panels, fuses, switches, and wiring.Lay out, test, calibrate, and install instruments and related devices used to control automatic equipment for measuring flow, pressure, temperature, etc.Maintain adequate records related to installation, maintenance, testing, repair, and replacement of instruments, controls, and related devices.Procure parts and services as needed.Assist in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.May be required to perform stand‑by duty, being available and responding to off‑duty emergency call‑ins to repair malfunctioning electrical, electronic and/or instrument systems.Perform related work as required.Qualifications Electrician Journeyman License or Certification in Electronics is preferred.Minimum of four (4) years of experience with instrumentation and controls.
