Get to Know Your Team: 

  • New Mexico Heart Institute has over 30 years of diagnostic, interventional and preventive cardiovascular expertise. Our team of over 50 providers use state-of-the-art technology, offering the latest treatment options for all types of heart and vascular conditions.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for monitoring EKG rhythm strips, transcribing physician orders, and performing other support duties including but not limited to paging physicians, obtaining insurance pre-certification, arranging for home and medical care, and coordinating desk activities. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Medical Terminology.
  • Ability to demonstrate arrhythmia recognition.
  • One (1) year of previous related medical office experience.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:  

  • Associate’s degree in a related field.
  • One (1) year in specialty.
