Position Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Electrical Assembler to support the assembly, service, integration, and testing of next-generation robotic systems. This hands-on role will work closely with manufacturing, hardware, and service engineering teams to assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems and vehicle components.
Drone industry experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical production units and subassemblies according to released drawings, work instructions, and build documentation.
Perform repeatable production builds of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical integrations.
Install and connect compute, control, power, and sensor systems following established procedures.
Conduct functional tests, inspections, and basic calibration steps to verify build completeness and quality.
Identify build defects, missing components, or out-of-spec conditions and escalate issues to manufacturing or engineering leads.
Rework or repair production units as directed using approved processes and documentation.
Maintain organized workstations, tools, and production materials.
Support kitting, material handling, and inventory accuracy for production builds.
Follow ESD, safety, and quality requirements during assembly and testing.
Accurately record build status, serial numbers, and production data in tracking systems.
Assist with factory integration, final assembly, and shipment preparation as needed.
Provide feedback on work instructions and tooling to improve clarity and repeatability.
Connect wires between component leads, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
Perform electrical wire terminations.
Cut, route, manage, bundle, and secure wires according to specifications.
Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components as required.
Produce electrical or electromechanical subassemblies using engineering prints, wiring diagrams, component lists, wire inventories, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment, such as aerospace, construction, automotive, or electrical service industries.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Basic English skills with the ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate verbally.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly advancing environment.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
Drone industry experience preferred.
Experience with electrical wire termination and wiring assemblies.
Experience assembling electrical or electromechanical subassemblies.
Experience working from engineering prints, wiring diagrams, and component lists.
Experience with disassembly, modification, rework, refurbishment, and reassembly.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Role is primarily onsite and may occasionally require field work.
Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather when required.
Regularly walk, reach with arms and hands, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform low-level movements.
Regularly ascend stairs and steps and use vertical ladders.
Frequently work on elevated platforms and perform overhead work.
Occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
Clear close-up and distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to maintain focus are required.
