Position: Electromechanical Assembler – Robotics & Drones
Location: San Francisco, CA – Folsom St
Job Type: Contract - 3 Months (Extension Possible)
Pay Rate: $45/hr.
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite – Monday–Friday
Interview: Onsite

Position Summary
  • We are seeking a Mechanical Electrical Assembler to support the assembly, service, integration, and testing of next-generation robotic systems. This hands-on role will work closely with manufacturing, hardware, and service engineering teams to assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems and vehicle components.
  • Drone industry experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical production units and subassemblies according to released drawings, work instructions, and build documentation.
  • Perform repeatable production builds of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical integrations.
  • Install and connect compute, control, power, and sensor systems following established procedures.
  • Conduct functional tests, inspections, and basic calibration steps to verify build completeness and quality.
  • Identify build defects, missing components, or out-of-spec conditions and escalate issues to manufacturing or engineering leads.
  • Rework or repair production units as directed using approved processes and documentation.
  • Maintain organized workstations, tools, and production materials.
  • Support kitting, material handling, and inventory accuracy for production builds.
  • Follow ESD, safety, and quality requirements during assembly and testing.
  • Accurately record build status, serial numbers, and production data in tracking systems.
  • Assist with factory integration, final assembly, and shipment preparation as needed.
  • Provide feedback on work instructions and tooling to improve clarity and repeatability.
  • Connect wires between component leads, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
  • Perform electrical wire terminations.
  • Cut, route, manage, bundle, and secure wires according to specifications.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components as required.
  • Produce electrical or electromechanical subassemblies using engineering prints, wiring diagrams, component lists, wire inventories, sketches, and verbal instructions.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment, such as aerospace, construction, automotive, or electrical service industries.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Basic English skills with the ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate verbally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly advancing environment.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Drone industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with electrical wire termination and wiring assemblies.
  • Experience assembling electrical or electromechanical subassemblies.
  • Experience working from engineering prints, wiring diagrams, and component lists.
  • Experience with disassembly, modification, rework, refurbishment, and reassembly.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Role is primarily onsite and may occasionally require field work.
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather when required.
  • Regularly walk, reach with arms and hands, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform low-level movements.
  • Regularly ascend stairs and steps and use vertical ladders.
  • Frequently work on elevated platforms and perform overhead work.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Clear close-up and distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to maintain focus are required.
