You’ll join a diverse team assembling the electrification equipment that keeps industry, infrastructure, and communities powered—today and for the next generation.
Where you’ll make an impact
As part of our mechanical and electrical assembly team, you’ll bring schematics and layouts to life—crafting sub-assemblies, wiring panels, and integrating large power cables into complete systems with precision and care.
- Build and wire sub-assemblies and final assemblies to drawings, BOMs, and layouts—executing accurate stripping, crimping, terminations, and component placement.
- Work with large power cables and panels—selecting proper crimping methods and validating workmanship against documented standards.
- Set up and use torque wrenches correctly, apply specified torque values, and follow standard processes while spotting opportunities to improve them.
- Record transactions and production data accurately; read and interpret work instructions, schematics, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
- Use hand, power, pneumatic, and battery-operated tools safely; measure precisely with tape measures and gauges.
- Identify common mechanical parts and basic electrical components; build parts kits, sub-assemblies, and support aftermarket orders.
- Model strong EHS practices, collaborate as a great teammate, support continuous improvement, and take on additional duties as assigned.
Your schedule and pay
- Location: Wendell, NC
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Hourly Rates: Mechanical Assembly: $19.00 | Electrical Assembly: $20.36
Note: For 2nd shift positions, training will begin on 1st shift prior to transitioning to 2nd shift, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for 2nd shift.
What you’ll bring
Mechanical track – basic qualifications
- Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs.
- Basic English proficiency (reading, writing, verbal communication).
Electrical track – basic qualifications
- 1+ year of mechanical assembly or related mechanical experience.
- 1+ years of commercial or industrial wiring experience.
- Basic English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
- Ability to read and work from schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
- Experienced with standard hand/power tools (including pneumatic and battery tools), wiring tools, and accurate tape-measure reading.
Preferred
- Familiarity with electrical clearances.
- Associate degree or technical training related to the role.
- Demonstrated quality and productivity track record.
