We are seeking a hands-on Machine Build & Integration Technician for a client in the Austin area to support the assembly, wiring, installation, and integration of advanced additive manufacturing equipment.
Working directly with the engineering team, you will turn drawings and sketches into working machine hardware, help complete equipment modifications, and support system checkout and troubleshooting.
What Youll Do
Assemble and install mechanical components, brackets, fixtures, and machine modifications
Fit components, drill and tap holes, measure alignment, and resolve installation issues
Build cable harnesses, crimp and terminate connectors, solder, and route/label wiring
Install low-voltage control and AC cabinet wiring from drawings and instructions
Operate 3D printers, prepare files, finish printed parts, and install assemblies
Support precision alignment, equipment integration, checkout, and basic troubleshooting
Document completed work and communicate fit, access, or assembly issues to engineering
What Were Looking For
Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience building, assembling, repairing, or modifying equipment or projects
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring equipment
Ability to work from engineering drawings and sketches
Careful workmanship, problem-solving ability, and reliable follow-through
Interest and ability to develop skills across mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and machine integration
Must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable ITAR requirements
Experience with 3D printing, electromechanical assembly, cable harnesses, cabinet wiring, CNC equipment, robotics, automation, or additive manufacturing equipment is helpful but not required.
No degree is required. Hands-on experience gained through employment, technical education, military service, or personal projects is welcome.
