Position: Electromechanical Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)

Job Description:

  • Responsible for design, development, and validation of electromechanical components and systems within the medical device domain.

  • Apply Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) methodologies and tools to optimize product cost and performance.

  • Ensure compliance with medical device development lifecycle standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee electrical component selection, specification, and evaluation for performance, reliability, and safety.

  • Prepare and execute design verification and validation documentation, including protocols, test reports, and traceability matrices for electromechanical systems.

  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables.

  • Drive project planning activities, resource allocation, and progress tracking.

  • Engage in frequent supplier interactions for quotations, prototype development, and sourcing of sample parts.

  • Provide onsite–offshore coordination to ensure smooth execution of engineering activities and deliverables.

  • Manage and document engineering change processes, ensuring traceability and compliance with internal quality systems.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with VAVE methodologies and cost optimization tools.

  • Strong understanding of medical device product lifecycle, documentation, and regulatory standards.

  • Proven background in electromechanical product design and verification.

  • Expertise in electrical component evaluation and test report generation.

  • Solid project management and supplier coordination skills.

  • Proficient in Engineering Change Management (ECM) and documentation tools.

  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
