What you’ll do
- Hunt down and correct equipment and system issues throughout the facility
- Keep automated packaging machinery operating at peak performance
- Apply pump theory to diagnose, repair, and rebuild
- Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems and return them to spec
- Interpret electrical schematics to resolve faults efficiently
- Work safely on both low- and high-voltage electrical systems
- Diagnose motors, motor controls, and device-level control problems
- Repair power and control circuits across the plant
- Service PLC-controlled and solid-state equipment
- Perform gas/arc welding and soldering tasks
- Support and maintain utilities: steam, hot water, compressed air, refrigeration
- Handle basic plumbing and carpentry work
- Source and order OEM parts using manuals and prints
- Communicate instructions clearly in writing and verbally
- Complete the Standard Timing Model mechanical test with a score of 60% or better.
What you bring
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
License path (MA)
For Massachusetts only; Role requires Special to Operate Engineering License (Steam Plant) -- License training will be provided if not already in possession.
