Your mission

On the night shift (7 PM – 7 AM), you will safeguard equipment reliability by resolving mechanical failures, executing preventive work, and planning overhauls—while documenting every action and part in our Maintenance system and upholding 6S and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Repair breakdowns involving welding, plumbing, acetylene cutting, bearing and seal replacement, and shaft-related work.
  • Conduct mechanical preventive maintenance on all production assets.
  • Lead or support major mechanical overhauls of machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine building and grounds maintenance and repairs.
  • Inspect equipment, diagnose faults, and determine safe, effective repair/installation/assembly strategies.
  • Record precise time and material usage for each task; enter details into the Maintenance system.
  • Own housekeeping in the Maintenance area to 6S standards.
  • Comply with all Prysmian and equipment-specific safety rules; remind contractors and visitors to follow all applicable safety regulations.
  • Provide coverage for vacations/illness across weekends and other shifts as required; work overtime as needed.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 3–5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience, including machining and welding.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Comfort using a variety of power tools.
  • Ability to read/understand diagrams and blueprints and verify correct procedures.
  • Well organized; self-starter who can also take direction.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, dirty, and fast-paced environments.

  • Starting wage: $42.08/hour
  • Shift differential: $2.50/hour (night)
  • Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM; overtime as needed; weekend and cross-shift coverage for vacation/illness
