Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Electromechanical Tech for a Contract with a client in Plymouth, MN. The ideal candidate with experienced Automation Technician specializing in assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting automated machinery, robotic systems, and custom equipment builds.

Rate Range: $38/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Electromechanical Tech Job Responsibilities include:

• Assemble mechanical components, frames, fixtures, subassemblies, and robotic systems according to engineering drawings and building documentation.

• Install and integrate pneumatic systems, electrical wiring, control panels, sensors, motors, and power systems following schematics.

• Perform machine testing, startup support, troubleshooting, and system validation to ensure equipment operates as designed.

• Assist with machine debugging, I/O checkout, and basic robot or PLC adjustments in collaboration with controls engineers.

• Maintain accurate building documentation, redline, and change records while following safety and quality standards.

• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to support equipment builds, commissioning, and field installations.

Required Qualifications:

• Technical diploma in Automation, Mechatronics, Machine Building, or equivalent experience.

• At least 1 year of experience with automated machinery, robotics, or custom equipment builds.

• Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, pneumatics, and basic electrical wiring.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour
