    Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems used in food processing and packaging equipment. This role ensures optimal equipment performance while maintaining strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

    Schedule:

    6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

    2-2-3 Schedule (Work: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday - Off: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday / Following week: Work: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday - Off: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday)

    Pay:  $27 - $35 DOE, $1.00 for shift differential, $2,000 Hire Bonus, Double time Sundays

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment (conveyors, mixers, fillers, packaging machines, etc.)
    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, sensors, PLCs, and control panels
    • Diagnose mechanical issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, and drive systems
    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
    • Maintain and repair automation systems, including PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley)
    • Support production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
    • Conduct equipment inspections and document maintenance activities
    • Communicate issues, concerns and outcomes with co-workers and leadership as needed/required
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing equipment, process, reliability, or energy-efficiency improvements.
    • Participate in utility upgrades, capital projects, and infrastructure improvements as assigned.
    • Promote a culture of safety by identifying hazards, complying with all safety policies and procedures (LOTO, confined space entry, machine guarding, PPE) and escalating issues/concerns to prevent contamination and workplace incidents.
    • Ensure all work complies with food safety regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP)
    • Ensure compliance with and enforcement of all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    • Other duties as assigned by leadership.
