Job Description:
- Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and systems by following detailed written work instructions
- Perform assembly using samples, visual aids, diagrams, prints, and process sheets
- Execute mechanical assembly operations for electronic products using standard tools and measurement techniques
- Perform electronic assembly tasks including wire termination, harness installation, and assembly of cables, relays, transformers, capacitors, resistors, and other components
- Fabricate and route wires on jig boards (harness boards) as per specifications
- Apply lacing techniques (continuous, flat, and spot ties) to bundle and route wiring according to drawings
- Prepare and process wires by routing, dressing, and terminating conductors to required dimensions
- Pre-stage circuit card kits and form components using machines or hand tools in compliance with Manufacturing Control Specifications (MCS)
- Operate soldering equipment and perform soldering tasks as per required standards
- Clean circuit boards in accordance with MCS guidelines
- Work under a microscope when required to ensure precision and quality
- Follow all safety, quality, and process guidelines; perform additional duties as assigned
- Maintain required certifications, including passing J-STD-001 modules (1-6) as a condition of employment
Required Skills / Experience:- Knowledge of electronic component identification and proper orientation based on polarity
- Familiarity with J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards
- Ability to perform soldering to IPC standards (certification preferred or required upon hire)
- Experience with wire harness assembly and cable fabrication
- Ability to use measurement tools such as scales, micrometers, and calipers
- Comfortable working under a microscope for detailed assembly work
- Basic computer skills and English literacy to follow instructions and safety guidelines
Education:- Minimum of two (2) years of High School or Trade School education
