The Panther Group is seeking Electronic Assemblers to join a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Austin, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced electronic systems in a clean, high-tech manufacturing environment while building products that support critical defense technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, and modules using work instructions, drawings, schematics, and process documentation.
  • Perform electronic and mechanical assembly operations, including:
    • Wire termination
    • Cable and wire harness installation
    • Mechanical assembly
    • Connector installation
    • Torque applications
  • Assemble, disassemble, and modify production assemblies and prototype units.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with IPC and J-STD workmanship standards.
  • Use microscopes and precision hand tools to complete detailed assembly work.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of electronic assembly experience
  • Experience assembling small electronic devices
  • Experience with:
    • Wire harnesses
    • Cabling
    • Wiring
    • Mechanical assembly
    • Soldering
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Blueprints
    • Schematics
    • Engineering drawings
    • Assembly instructions
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working under a microscope
  • Ability to obtain:
    • Solder Certification
    • ESD Certification
    • Material Handling Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of electronic assembly experience
  • Electronic/mechanical assembly experience
  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD soldering experience
  • Knowledge of:
    • Resistors
    • Capacitors
    • Diodes
    • Transistors
    • Relays
    • Transformers
  • Experience using crimping tools
  • Previous aerospace, defense, or military electronics manufacturing experience
Pay up to $35.86 per hour DOE
