Pay: $25.00/hour + Overtime

Overview
Thales is seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler III to support the production of advanced in-flight entertainment equipment, including displays, handsets, servers, power supplies, and installation equipment.
This position is best suited for someone with strong electronic/mechanical assembly experience who is comfortable reading engineering drawings, assembling components from detailed instructions, and working with hand tools. Experience with cabling, wire harnessing, crimping, and soldering is highly desirable.
This is an electronic/mechanical assembly position and is not an electrician role.
Job Description
- Assemble, wire, and install electronic and mechanical components according to engineering specifications.
- Work from assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions.
- Read drawings and build assemblies according to specifications.
- Identify and select the appropriate components for subassemblies and finished assemblies.
- Perform cable and wire harness assembly as required.
- Use hand tools including cutters, screwdrivers, crimping tools, and soldering equipment.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Review and follow Manufacturing Assembly Instructions (MAIs).
- Use computer systems to record production activities and access engineering documentation.
- Assist with maintaining calibration and certification requirements for tools and test equipment.
- Follow Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
- Support other production lines, kitting, warehouse, or stockroom functions when needed.
- Work collaboratively with production leads and team members to meet production goals.
Required Skills
- 3 5 years of electronic/mechanical assembly, cable assembly, wire harnessing, or related manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and build from engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Experience using hand tools such as cutters, screwdrivers, and related assembly tools.
- Familiarity with crimping tools.
- Ability to understand parts lists, diagrams, wire lists, and manufacturing instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect your own work.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
- Willingness to work overtime when available to support production needs.
Preferred Skills
- Cable and wire harnessing experience.
- Prototype cable manufacturing experience.
- Soldering experience.
- IPC-620 certification.
- IPC-610 certification.
- Experience with SAP/MRP or similar manufacturing systems.
- Experience working in aerospace, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma/GED, technical certificate, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant assembly experience.
