Job Title: Electronic Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling electronic sensors and control panels in a high-volume, climate-controlled manufacturing environment for lighting and control systems. You will perform repetitive, detail-oriented assembly work at a workstation, using hand and power tools, while also conducting pre- and post-assembly testing and basic repairs to ensure all products meet written specifications and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and program electronic devices according to predetermined specifications, including components, units, subassemblies, and wiring assemblies.

  • Use electronic materials, hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment to complete assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Read and interpret basic assembly drawings and blueprints to perform assembly steps correctly.

  • Perform pre-assembly and post-assembly functions, including product testing and basic repairs of electrical products and electronic equipment.

  • Inspect and test products, assemblies, and circuits for correct operation, and accurately record test results.

  • Ensure all assembled products conform to written specifications and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with management and team members to ensure products meet customer requirements and delivery dates.

  • Perform repetitive, high-volume assembly work at a seated workstation, maintaining consistent speed and quality (for example, completing sensor assemblies in a few minutes each).

  • Handle warehouse duties as needed, including material handling, inventory support, and basic shipping functions.

  • Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 30 pounds in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and communicating opportunities to improve assembly processes or product quality.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in electronic assembly, including working with components, subassemblies, and wiring assemblies.

  • Ability to read and understand basic assembly drawings and blueprints.

  • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical and electronic assembly tasks.

  • Experience performing product inspections and functional testing on electronic products and circuits.

  • Ability to perform basic repairs on electrical products and electronic equipment.

  • Comfort with repetitive, high-volume production work while maintaining accuracy and quality.

  • Capability to lift and move up to 30 pounds safely as part of daily duties.

  • Basic warehouse, material handling, and shipping experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written specifications and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Soldering experience, including through-hole or surface-mount work, is a strong plus.

  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment for lighting, sensors, or control systems is beneficial.

  • Familiarity with climate-controlled electronic manufacturing environments.

  • Ability to work effectively with management and team members to meet production goals and delivery dates.

  • Reliable work habits and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.

Why Work Here?

You will work in a stable, climate-controlled electronic manufacturing environment with a predictable daytime schedule and rare overtime, supporting a healthy work-life balance. The role offers the opportunity to develop and refine hands-on electro-mechanical skills while contributing directly to high-quality lighting and control system products. You will collaborate with a supportive team that values precision, reliability, and continuous improvement, giving you the chance to grow your expertise in electronic assembly and production processes.
