Job Title : Electronic Assembler
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6 Months

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team for a 6-month duration, specializing in the assembly of mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with complex assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with the IPC-610 standard and circuit board assembly using SMT machines.
• Knowledge of electronic components placement and polarity.
• Ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) and soft skills.
• Prior work experience in the industry.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens or ASM machines, Ekra pastes print, AOI.
• SMT machine experience.
• Familiarity with ESD practices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assemble drawers, chassis, enclosures, and racks using assembly prints and wiring diagrams.
• Perform hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling on assembly units.
• Conduct routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Set up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods and document test results.
• Perform repair work as necessary and maintain logs and records of malfunctions.
