Title: Electronic Assembler with Soldering
Duration: 3+ Months
Location: San Diego CA 92121
Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri: 6:30-3:30pm PST

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a dynamic engineering or prototyping environment. This role involves performing a variety of electrical and mechanical assembly operations with a focus on quality and precision.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of electronic assembly and inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment using hand soldering equipment and basic hand tools or relevant training.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Experience with wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
• Prior work experience in the client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on a W2 basis.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in performing mechanical assembly including installation of press fit components, rivets, screws, and other hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings for electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations.
• Experience in performing basic repair work, rework, and modifications to assemblies or sub-assemblies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to perform mechanical assembly including installation of press fit components, rivets, screws, and other hardware.
• Prepare, load, and solder printed circuit cards with minimal supervision.
