Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the exciting Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) industry, is seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team in a high-reliability manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in defense/aerospace manufacturing and be proficient in cable harness building and assembly. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble electrical & electronic components, wiring harnesses, and other electrical assemblies
- Manufacture electronic/electrical circuitry according to specifications and work orders
- Operate automatic stripping, crimping, and wire cutting equipment
- Integrate and test sub-assemblies and final assemblies
- Perform minor setup of non-complex equipment
- Assist with soldering and rework as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of high-reliability manufacturing experience; defense/aerospace preferred
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards
- Experience with cable harness building, crimp, and solder
- Knowledge of IPC J-STD, AS, and MIL specifications
- Must have knowledge on JST crimping and assembly
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Current or previous IPC-620, IPC-610, or J-STD-001 certification
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
- Experience with defense/aerospace manufacturing requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Capable of bending, reaching, climbing, and kneeling
- Able to lift/carry/push/pull items over 20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Manufacturing, warehouse, and lab setting
- May involve exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and cleaning agents
- Personal protective equipment may be required for certain tasks
