An industry leader in high -precision instrumentation is seeking an experienced and hands -on Electronics Design Engineer<\/b> to join its innovative, multi -disciplinary engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete design and development of complex electronic systems, supporting the creation of cutting -edge technology solutions used across critical industries.
<\/p>

This is a key engineering role involving hands -on PCB design, analogue/digital electronics development, and close interaction with firmware, software, and mechanical design teams throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Lead the end -to -end design of complex, multi -layer PCBs,<\/b> with proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design<\/b>, using Cadence OrCAD and Allegro PCB Editor<\/b>.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Design bespoke, high -precision test and machine probing cabling<\/b> using DraftSight or AutoCAD<\/b>, supporting signal ranges from microvolts to 15kV<\/b> and femtoamps to 100A<\/b>.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Create and manage engineering documentation including BOMs, ECOs, and build instructions<\/b>, ensuring traceability and adherence to ISO -compliant processes.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Develop custom circuit solutions to meet specific customer requirements while leveraging a modular platform architecture.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Conduct fault diagnosis and remediation on legacy products, contributing to continuous product improvement.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Maintain product compliance with CE, EMC, and UL standards<\/b>, and manage equipment certification for EU conformity.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Collaborate on R&D initiatives<\/b>, from proof of concept to production -ready designs, supporting innovation and time -to -market goals.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Support production teams with debugging, quality control, and test fixture development<\/b>, ensuring robust and scalable manufacturing.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Work closely with firmware/software engineers, integrating embedded microcontroller -based systems<\/b> and developing or supporting firmware in C/C++<\/b>.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Liaise with sales and application engineers to translate customer specifications into viable, cost -effective electrical designs.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Contribute to internal risk assessments, ensuring health & safety<\/b> and electrical regulation<\/b> compliance.
    <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    Essential Skills & Experience:<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Degree -qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Strong background in analogue/digital design<\/b>, including high -speed digital circuitry and mixed -signal environments.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Experience with microprocessor/microcontroller -based systems<\/b>, including low -level firmware development (C/C++)<\/b>.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Familiar with stepper motor drive design<\/b> and power supply topologies.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Hands -on experience with lab test equipment (e.g., Keithley, Tektronix, Keysight<\/b>).
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Proven ability to produce high -quality technical documentation.
      <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Desirable:<\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Experience in semiconductor<\/b>, precision instrumentation<\/b>, or RF -aware<\/b> hardware environments.
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Understanding of EMC design principles<\/b>, signal integrity, and PCB layout for noise reduction.
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Familiarity with CE, UL certification<\/b>, and regulatory compliance standards.
